This is my go to winter breakfast! It’s warm, filling and so nourishing. My toddler always climbs onto my lap to help me finish it.
• 1/2 cup buckwheat groats
• 1 cup coconut milk (or any nut milk)
• 1 cup water
• Pinch Himalayan salt
• 2 drops of dōTERRA Cinnamon Essential Oil
• 1 tablespoon almonds
• 1 teaspoons raw honey
• A sprinkle of coconut flakes.
Bring buckwheat, water and milk to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Take of heat, add 2 drops of cinnamon essential oil, a pinch of salt, stir through honey and serve with flaked coconut and almonds.
** 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon can be used instead of the essential oil. Add this to the simmering process.
