DIY Nappy Rash Cream
My poor babies bottom! I’ve been looking for an alternative to an over the counter nappy rash cream. I’ve been using this recipe on my newborn every day.
Ingredients
3/4 Cup Coconut Oil
15 Grams Beeswax
6 Drops Lavender
6 Drops Tea Tree
1 tsp Arrowroot Powder (to thicken) – optional
Method
Fill a saucepan half way with water, and then hook a glass measuring jug onto the side. Add the coconut oil and grated beeswax to jug. Stir until the mixture melts and combines. Stir in arrowroot powder.
Take the glass measuring jug off the heat for a few minutes to cool slightly, and add the essential oils. Stir thoroughly.
I use lavender and tea tree because they they have such therapeutic and healing qualities. These oils are great analgesic, anti fungal, anti inflammatory and antiseptic qualities!
This is a great recipe to heal and soothe delicate skin. And it’s completely free of the nasty ingredients! It’s super easy to make. Let me know what you think!
